Designing the Parts I Couldn’t Find
Hi, I’m Josh.
I’m a motorcycle rider and BMW enthusiast based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I enjoy working on my own bikes and cars, and like most people who spend time wrenching on their gear, I kept running into the same problem: sometimes the part you need simply does not exist.
Many of the products at Josh’s Widgets started with one of my own projects. I needed a cleaner way to mount a Cardo communicator, a replacement part for a BMW Z3, or a simple solution to a frustrating little problem. When I could not find exactly what I wanted, I designed it myself.
After testing the design and making sure it worked the way it should, I started sharing it with other riders, drivers, and enthusiasts who might run into the same issue.
Practical Parts for Real-World Problems
Josh’s Widgets focuses on simple, functional parts that make existing equipment work better. That includes helmet-specific Cardo adapter mounts, BMW Z3 and M Roadster repair and accessory parts, kayak hardware, and other practical solutions.
I design every part around a specific problem, with fitment, ease of installation, and everyday use in mind. The goal is not to make something complicated—it is to make a part that looks like it belongs there and solves the problem cleanly.
Designed and Made by an Independent Maker
Each product starts with hands-on design work, then moves through 3D printing, finishing, inspection, packaging, and shipping. I use materials selected for the application and focus on making parts that are straightforward, useful, and easy to install.
Most of these are products I originally made because I wanted them for my own bike, car, or gear. I only sell parts that I would feel good using myself.
